Karl Heinrich Pudor

Karl Heinrich Pudor (* 1777 in Friedeberg (Neumark) , † April 20, 1839 in Marienwerder ) was a German classical philologist and high school teacher.

Life

Pudor studied from 1796 to 1798 at the (Pietistic) Friedrichs University in Halle . From 1802 to 1804 he was a teacher at the Collegium Fridericianum , from 1806 to 1811 at the Conradinum in Jenkau near Danzig. For Johann Samuel Rosenheyn he came in 1811 as vice-principal at the cathedral school in Marienwerder, which two years later became the Marienwerder high school . He received the title of Kgl on September 19, 1832. Professor and retired in 1835 after 24 years. He stayed in Marienwerder and lived his studies and a quiet charitable work. He died of pulmonary edema at the age of 62 . At his funeral on April 24, 1839, all teachers and students followed the coffin.
