Karl Köhler (costume expert)
Karl Köhler (* 1825 in Darmstadt ; † January 21, 1876 in Almoshof near Nuremberg ) was a German painter, draftsman, illustrator and costume expert .
From 1866 he lived in Almoshof near Nuremberg. At times he worked as a teacher at the workers' association in Nuremberg.

In particular, his costume history, originally published under the title Die Trachten der Völker in Bild und Schnitt , is cited and reprinted as a standard work in the edited version by Emma von Sichart , in which mainly the general historical sections were shortened.
