Kunibert Zinner

Kunibert Zinner (born June 3, 1906 in Kirchberg am Wechsel ; † December 24, 1990 in Waidhofen an der Ybbs ) was an Austrian sculptor and musician.

Life

Kunibert Leopold Franz Zinner was born in Kirchberg am Wechsel and came to St. Peter in der Au as a two-year-old and attended elementary school there. He attended grammar school in Seitenstetten and Melk and the technical school for wood carving in Hallstatt . He studied sculpture with Anton Hanak in Vienna. From 1928 he worked as a sculptor and painter as well as a musician, organist and composer in St. Peter in der Au. One of his sons was the astrophysicist Ernst K. Zinner (1937–2015).
