Karl Kagerer

Karl Kagerer (* 1930 ; † April 10, 2015 ) was a German garden and landscape architect .

Life

Kagerer studied from 1952 to 1954 at the Institute for Garden Design and Land Care at what was then the Weihenstephan Horticultural Engineering School . In 1956 he continued his studies with Heinrich Wiepking-Jürgensmann at the Technical University of Hanover . He completed his studies in 1960 with Carl Ludwig Schreiber at the Technical University of Munich in Freising- Weihenstephan with the diploma degree Dipl. Hort. (Diplomaticus rerum horticulturarum). After graduating, he opened his own office in Ismaning .

In 1961, Kagerer accepted a teaching position at the Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan for the subject of "landscape design technology". In 1971 he was appointed honorary professor at the Technical University of Munich.
