Karl Lorenz (judge)
Karl Hermann Otto Lorenz (born January 11, 1868 in Berlin , † January 16, 1931 in Leipzig ) was President of the Senate at the Imperial Court .
Life
The Prussian Lorenz studied law at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1885 he became a member of the Corps Baltia Berlin . In 1889 he was sworn in to the Prussian sovereign. In 1900 he became a magistrate. In 1905 he was appointed district judge. In 1908 he was promoted to the chamber judge . In 1917 he came to the Imperial Court. As a Reich judge he was active in the 4th Criminal Senate and the 5th Civil Senate . Since January 5, 1925 he was a judge at the State Court for the Protection of the Republic . On February 9, 1928, he succeeded Niedner as Senate President of the IV Criminal Senate. His much-criticized high treason case law he continued. Lorenz died in office.
