Karl Meisner

Karl Meisner (born September 23, 1939 in Passau ; † April 11, 2019 there ) was a German swimmer and water polo player who started for the Passau gymnastics club in 1862 .

Sporting successes

In 1963, Karl Meisner was the first German title holder of the clubs without winter pool (VoW) in Gladbeck with the 4 × 100 m breast relay of the TV Passau (with Hans Meisner, Ludwig Reitberger and Günther Weiser). With the 4 × 200 m breast relay, he was then German VoW runner-up in Berlin in 1964 and again German VoW best in 1965 in Itzehoe . At the open German championships in 1967 in Essen he was able to achieve fourth place over 4 × 100 meters (with Wolfgang Geiger, Hans Meisner and Ludwig Reitberger). In 1969, he won the German Team Championship (VoW) with 22,062 points. At the German VoW best fights last held in Regensburg in 1973 , he also won his last German title with the 4 × 100 m chest relay (with Josef Schmidt, Christian Riendl and Hans Meisner).

With the water polo team of TV Passau, he came second twice in the German VoW championships in 1969 and 1971.
