Karl Meyer (politician, 1876)

Karl Meyer (born July 6, 1876 in Listringen , † 1957 ) was a German politician ( DNVP , CSVD ).

Life

After attending primary school, Meyer worked as a bricklayer from 1893 to 1906. From 1907 to 1912 he was trade union secretary at the Christian construction workers' association and from 1913 to 1914 in the same function at the general association of Christian trade unions . In 1917 he became deputy chairman of the Central Association of Agricultural Workers. From 1926 he was chairman of the stud officials' association in Berlin-Hermsdorf .

Meyer was elected to the Prussian state parliament in February 1921 on the proposal of the German National People's Party (DNVP) . On December 4, 1929, he left the DNVP faction. He was then initially a non-attached MP and, after joining the Christian Social People's Service (CSVD) from January 22, 1930 until the end of the third legislative period in 1932, a member of the CSVD parliamentary group.
