Karl Oswald Minckwitz

Karl Oswald Minckwitz (born December 5, 1851 in Kleinwolmsdorf , † May 4, 1897 in Großröhrsdorf ) was a German doctor and liberal politician ( German Freedom Party ).

Life

Karl Oswald Minckwitz was born as the son of the lawyer and later city councilor of Dresden Eduard Minckwitz and his wife Marie, née Rietschel. He attended the Kreuzschule . He then studied medicine at the University of Leipzig . In February 1871 he joined the Afrania student union . In the summer semester of 1875 he passed the medical state examination and was awarded a Dr. med. PhD . After working as an assistant doctor at the Royal Maternity Institute in Dresden for a short time, Minckwitz established himself as a general practitioner in Großröhrsdorf in autumn 1875.

From 1889 to 1896, Karl Oswald Minckwitz represented the 7th rural constituency as a member of the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament .
