Karl Schmidlechner (* 1972 in Zell am See ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2009 to 2018 he was a member of the Salzburg state parliament .

Life

Karl Schmidlechner grew up in Neukirchen am Großvenediger . After finishing school he studied German and history and now works as a teacher in Bramberg am Wildkogel .

He is the Vice Mayor of Neukirchen am Großvenediger, and from April 2009 he was a member of the Salzburg state parliament and area spokesman for education, administration and the public service. After the state elections in Salzburg in 2018 , he left the state parliament.

Karl Schmidlechner is married and has a daughter.
