Karl Schubert (swimmer)
Karl Schubert (born May 20, 1908 in Neisse ; † March 1991 in Pirmasens ) was a German swimmer who started for Borsil Breslau around 1930 . He won four German championships and was also successful internationally.

In 1931 in Paris , Schubert won the silver medal in the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay (together with Herbert Heinrich , Raimund Deiters and Hans Balk ) in 9: 48.6 minutes behind the team from Hungary, who won 9: 34.0 minutes . The team from Italy was relegated to third place (by four tenths of a second).
Olympic games
At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , Schubert competed in the 100 m freestyle and the 4 × 200 m relay (together with August Heitmann , Friedel Berges and Herbert Heinrich), but without success. The relay was disqualified in the run-up, and in his individual start Schubert also had to end the competition early as fifth and last in his semifinals.
