Karl Strupp
Karl Strupp (born March 30, 1886 in Gotha ; † February 28, 1940 in Chatoux near Paris ) was a German lawyer specializing in international law and private international law .
Life
In 1923, Strupp published Documents pour service à l'histoire de droit de gens , 5 volumes (already in 1912: Documents on the history of international law ). From 1926 to 1933 he was a full professor at the University of Frankfurt am Main , from which he was dismissed in 1933 . Then he emigrated to Istanbul ; from there to France in 1935. He was also a professor at the Academy for International Law in The Hague and a member of various international institutes dealing with international law.
