Karl Ulrich Smith

Karl Ulrich Smith (born May 1, 1907 in Zanesville , Ohio , † June 22, 1994 in Lake Wales , Florida ) was an American physiologist, psychologist and behavioral cyberneticist .

Among other things, Smith dealt with the interaction between humans and technology and was instrumental in the development of the research area Human Factors , which deals with the safe and human-friendly or health-friendly design of products, work equipment and work systems.
