Karl Walter (politician, 1880)

Karl Wilhelm Walter (born February 25, 1880 in Bludenz ; † May 15, 1948 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( CS ) and master carpenter. From 1923 to 1932 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

Walter was the son of the Ludesch-born master carpenter Stefan Rupert Walter (1850-1943) and his Bludenz-born wife Maria Seraphina Bickel (1844-1920). He married Anna Adelheid Bliem (1881–1935), who was born in Innsbruck , on September 10, 1906 in Bludenz and between 1908 and 1912 he had three sons.

In addition to his job as a carpenter, Walter was active as a member of the city council of Bludenz, and from 1929 to 1931 he also held the office of vice mayor. He was a member of the Christian Social Party and co-founder of the Catholic Journeyman's Association, the Gymnastics Club and later Catholic Workers' Gymnastics Club and a member of the volunteer fire brigade . He represented the Christian Social Party from November 6, 1923 to November 21, 1932 in the Vorarlberg state parliament, where he was a member of the medical committee and the school committee.
