Karl Wilbers

Karl Wilbers (* 1964 in Kevelaer ) is a German economics educator and lecturer at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in the Department of Economics, the former University of Economics and Social Sciences in Nuremberg .

Live and act

Wilber graduated the diploma commercial teacher and a PhD in Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Cologne . He completed his habilitation at the University of St. Gallen and was appointed assistant professor there.

He has the following main research areas and interests:

In 2009, Wilbers set up the university school for the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region . As a result of this network, the publication "Designing Business Lessons" (textbook and toolbox) was presented in 2012. The platform "wirtschaftsunterricht-gestalten.de "for this textbook is the first freely accessible educational resource (OER) in this area.

Since 2012 Wilbers has been the spokesman for the Advanced Training Center for University Teaching (FBZHL), the university didactic facility of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
