Karl Wilhelm Ammon

Karl Wilhelm Ammon (* 1777 in Trakehnen , † 1842 in Ansbach ) was a hippological writer .

Ammon was the older brother of the horse breeder and writer Georg Gottlieb Ammon . After studying veterinary medicine , Ammon got a job in 1797 as a horse doctor at the Ansbacher Fohlenhof in Ölhaus. He was later called to Ansbach as a forensic doctor.

In 1813 Ammon became the Bavarian court stud master in Rohrenfeld near Neuburg an der Donau .
