Karl Willetts

Karl Willetts (* 21st September 1966 ) is a death metal - singer from England . He joined the English death metal band Bolt Thrower in 1988. Before that he took care of the band's backline .
In 1994, after recording the album "... for Victory", Willetts left the band to graduate from the University of Birmingham with a degree in cultural studies.
In 1998 Willetts joined Bolt Thrower as a session singer for the recordings of the album "Mercenary" and left the band shortly afterwards for financial and personal reasons. In the meantime, Willetts worked, among other jobs, as an insurance salesman in the town of Solihull , where he also lives.

In November 2004 Willetts rejoined Bolt Thrower, as their singer Dave Ingram had to end the collaboration with the band for health reasons.

Willetts also appeared as a guest musician for the UK punk band Doom on their Peel Sessions album and for the UK death metal band Benediction . Willetts was a vegetarian for a long time, but began eating meat again around 2006. In 2016 he founded the band Memoriam with Frank Healy (Benediction) and has so far released three studio albums with them.
