Karl Wisniewski
Karl Wisniewski (also Karl Wiśniewski, Carl Wisniewski) (born August 25, 1844 in Allenstein , East Prussia ; † August 27, 1904 in Heiligenstadt ) was a German music teacher, composer and writer.
Wisniewski worked as a seminar and music teacher in Graudenz (1868–1885) and in Heiligenstadt (1885–1904) in Eichsfeld. He was also active as a writer, choir director and composer. He wrote the melody for Eichsfelder Sang , the Eichsfeld regional anthem known today as the Eichsfeldlied , which he composed in 1902 to the text by Hermann Iseke .
