Karl Woisetschläger

Karl Woisetschläger (born March 19, 1954 in Kirchdorf an der Krems, Upper Austria ) is an Austrian journalist and since 1989 head of the supplement Spectrum of the daily newspaper Die Presse in Vienna .

Life

Woisetschläger studied German and journalism and received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Vienna. In 1984 he joined the editorial team of the Austrian daily newspaper "Die Presse". Since 1989 he has headed their supplement “Spectrum”. He has published on Thomas Bernhard, Wolfgang Koeppen, Brigitte Schwaiger, Josef Winkler, among others. He also dealt with books and newspapers, also with forgery (in theory and practice), parody and pastiche. His parodic Thomas Bernhard forgery "Einkehr in einer Pinzgauer Dorfgasthof" appeared in "Zeit".
