Karl van Hall
Karl van Hall (born December 28, 1926 in Emmerich ; † February 25, 2014 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).
Life and work
After attending elementary school , van Hall completed military schools until 1944. After his release from captivity, he was a civil servant in the Federal Customs Administration from 1947 to 1988. Van Hall had been a member of the CDU since 1959. He was active in numerous party committees, so u. a. as chairman of the CDU district association Duisburg .
MP
From May 30, 1985 to May 30, 1990 and from March 9, 1992 to May 31, 1995, Karl van Hall was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . In 1985 he was elected via the state list of his party, in 1992 he moved up via the reserve list.
He was a member of the City Council of Duisburg from 1964 to 1992.
Awards
Van Hall was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class.
