Karlheinz Hülser

Karlheinz Hülser (* before 1977 ) is a German philosopher and historian of philosophy .

After studying philosophy , theology , classical philology and sociology , Hülser received his doctorate in 1977 with a dissertation on Wittgenstein's early work at the Department of Philosophy and History at the University of Konstanz . He then worked mainly on the philosophy of antiquity . His main work, the four-volume collection, translation and commentary on fragments on the dialectic of the Stoics , was created as part of the Collaborative Research Center 99, Grammar and Linguistic Processes , at the University of Konstanz. Since 1993 he has been a publisher and freelance lecturer for philosophical projects. As a scientific translator, he has translated various basic works on ancient philosophy from English into German. He teaches ancient philosophy at the universities of Konstanz and Jena .
