Karlheinz Krakow

Karlheinz Krakau (* June 28, 1928 - February 6, 2018 ) was mayor of the city of Rösrath ( Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis ) from May 1975 to September 1989 .

Life and work

Krakow completed an apprenticeship as a building materials merchant and joined the building materials company Mobau Selbach in Cologne on the right bank of the Rhine in 1952, where he later became a partner and also took over management.

From 1988 to 1990 he was a member of the supervisory board of Raiffeisenbank Rösrath, a predecessor of VR Bank eG Bergisch Gladbach-Leverkusen.

Political activity

From 1956 to 2004 Krakow was a council member , after which he worked as a knowledgeable citizen until his death . From 1975 to 1989 he was Mayor of Rösrath .

For his decades of commitment to clubs and organizations, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 1984 .
