Karma Nedo Depa Gön ( Tib . : karma gnas mdo dad pa dgon ), or Depa monastery for short , is a monastery of the Nedo Kagyü School in the city of Yushu玉树 市 in Qinghai . It is located in Xia Laxiu 下拉 秀 乡 (Xia Raqug) community. It was founded by (chin.) Daiba Meilang Jiacuo 代 巴 美 朗加 措, a disciple of the Nedo Kagyü founder Karma Chagme . It looks back on over 300 years of history. Originally the Rakshül ( rag zul ) tribe had jurisdiction over the monastery. It suffered losses under the Mongol Oirats.

Depa Rinpoche

The incarnation series of the Depa Rinpoche s ( gnas mdo dad pa rin po che ), one of the two incarnation series of the monastery, has nine representatives.
