José Geraldo Oliveira do Valle CSS (born December 3, 1929 in Leme , Brazil ) is a Roman Catholic religious and former bishop of Guaxupé .

Life

José Geraldo Oliveira do Valle joined the Order of the Stigmatines and was ordained a priest on January 10, 1954 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on May 10, 1982 as the first Bishop of Almenara . The coadjutor archbishop of Vitória , Silvestre Luís Scandián SVD , donated him episcopal ordination on July 23 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José Lambert Filho CSS, Bishop of Sorocaba , and Antônio Alberto Guimarães Rezende CSS, Bishop of Caetité .

On August 31, 1988, he was appointed coadjutor bishop of Guaxupé . With the resignation of José Alberto Lopes de Castro Pinto , he succeeded him on September 14, 1989 as Bishop of Guaxupé. On April 19, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
