Antônio Alberto Guimarães Rezende CSS (born March 3, 1926 in Uberaba ; † April 13, 2015 in São Domingo ) was Bishop of Caetité .
Life
Antônio Alberto Guimarães Rezende joined the Order of the Stigmatines and was ordained a priest on December 8, 1953 . He then worked as a missionary, among other things.
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Caetité on November 9, 1981 . The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year ; Co-consecrators were Eduardo Martínez Somalo , Substitute of the State Secretariat , and Lucas Moreira Neves OP , Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops .
On November 13, 2002, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation. He died on April 13, 2015 after an accident in São Domingo Hospital.
