The diocese Almenara (Latin Dioecesis Almenarensis , Portuguese Diocese de Almenara ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Almenara in the state of Minas Gerais .
history
The diocese of Almenara was established on March 28, 1981 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Quoniam omnis from cessions of territory of the dioceses Teófilo Otoni and Araçuaí . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Diamantina as a suffragan .
