The Nedo Kagyu ( Tib . : gnas mdo bka 'brgyud ) school is a sub-school of the Karma Kagyu ( karma bka' brgyud ) school of Tibetan Buddhism . It was founded by Karma Chagme ( kar ma chags med ; 1613–1678), a disciple of the 6th Shamarpa Chökyi Wangchug ( zhwa dmar chos kyi dbang phyug ; 1584–1630).

The school developed based on ideas of the Pure Land and, as in the school in Japan , the worship of Amitabha took an important place in it.
