Carmel Coast

As the Carmel Coast ( Hebrew חוף הכרמל Chof haCarmel ) is the name given to the narrow coastal strip between the Mediterranean Sea and the Carmel Mountains in northern Israel . In north-south direction, the area extends about 30 kilometers along the sea; however, it is only two to three kilometers wide. The northern end of the plain forms the Carmel Cape with the city of Haifa , south of the mountains joins the Sharon plain .
