Karmin is an American pop band consisting of the duo Amy Renee Heidemann ( April 29, 1986 ) and Nicholas Louis "Nick" Noonan ( April 27, 1986 ).
history
Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan met while studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Heidemann is a graduate of Seward High School in Nebraska and Noonan graduated from Old Town High School in Maine, where he was a member of the music band and jazz ensemble. They released their first EP, Inside Out, in May 2010. The pair's popularity rose through an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and a YouTube contribution with millions of clicks. The band became internationally known in 2012 through the song Brokenhearted , which reached the top 20 in the Billboard Hot 100 and the top 10 in Australia, New Zealand and Great Britain. The band name Karmin was derived from the Latin word carmen (song) and the word karma .
