Karoline Albrecht
Karoline Albrecht , born Karoline Hortian or Karoline Horian ( 26. February 1802 in Memel - Feb. 3 . Jul / 15. February 1875 greg. In St. Petersburg ) was a German stage actress and singer ( soprano ).
Life
Albrecht was the daughter of the theater director Hortian / Horian and was already employed in children's roles as a seven-year-old child. She came to Kotzebue soon after Reval, as she appeared in roles as a sentimental lover. After her voice had developed, she was engaged for youthful singing roles in Riga from 1821 to 1822, where she sang “Ännchen” in Freischütz on her debut . On September 26, 1827, she entered the German court stage in St. Petersburg as a committed member , where she worked with a one-year break until her death. She died on February 15, 1875 as one of the most popular members of the Petersburg stage.
