Karoline Marie Elliot Borg (born September 15, 1990 in Norway ) is an American-Norwegian handball player who is under contract with the Norwegian first division club Aker Topphåndball .

Career

In the club

Karoline Borg started playing handball in 1998 for the Norwegian club Vollen Håndball. In 2007, the left-hander Asker SK joined, with whose women's team she ran up in the third highest Norwegian league. Three years later, Borg moved to the Norwegian second division club Njård IL, with whom they rose to the highest Norwegian league a year later. After Njård finished the 2011/12 season in last place, she joined the club in the second division. After Borg ran up another four seasons for Njård in the second division, she joined the first division club Oppsal IF .

In the summer of 2018 she signed a contract with the Norwegian second division team Aker Topphåndball , a merger of Ullern IF and her former club Njård IL. With Aker, she rose to the top division a year later. In the promotion season she scored 71 goals in 22 league games.

In selection teams

Borg was first named to the United States national team squad in 2009 . With the United States, she took part in the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara and the 2015 Pan American Championship in Havana .
