Karoline Hillesheim

Karoline Hillesheim (born January 25, 1974 as Karoline Sprenger ) is a German literary scholar , private lecturer at the University of Bamberg and academic adviser at the University of Augsburg.

Life

Hillesheim studied German at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg from 1993 to 1998. In 2002 she did her doctorate in Bamberg with Heinz Gockel on Jean Paul's pedagogy. From 2012 to 2013 she was a lecturer at the University of Karlsruhe . In 2018 she completed her habilitation at the University of Bamberg with an investigation into lyrical cycles of the early 20th century with a focus on Bertolt Brecht's house postil . Today she is a private lecturer at the University of Bamberg and Academic Councilor at the University of Augsburg.

Since 2014 Karoline Hillesheim has been a permanent visiting professor at the Ivan Franko State University in Zhytomyr , Ukraine , and since 2015 she has been co-editor of Ars et scientia , the journal of the “Dramaturgy” research institute at the Ivan Franko State University. In 2015 she was awarded a Dr. appointed hc. In 2016 she gave lectures at various Ukrainian universities, a. a. at the National Shevchenko University in Kiev. In 2017 she was visiting professor at the Shevchenko University in Kiev. Since 2019 she has been co-editor of the bulletin of the Ivan Franko State University of Zhytomyr and of Synopsis. Text - Context - Media , magazine of the Borys-Grinchenko State University in Kiev, since 2020 co-editor of the Brecht-Heft of the Ivan Franko State University of Zhytomyr.

She published numerous articles on the main research areas of Jean Paul, Bertolt Brecht and the communication of German literature.
