Karsten Oelze

Karsten Oelze or Karsten Ölze (* July 7, 1962 in Iserlohn ; † January 14, 2016 in Pottenstein (Upper Franconia) ) was a German climber and climbing guide author. With over 300 new tours until his death, he was one of the main followers of new tours in the Northern Franconian Jura climbing area . He was also active as a developer in Sicily and Kalymnos .

Life

Karsten Oelze was born in Iserlohn- Letmathe and grew up in Westphalia and later moved to Northern Franconia. Professionally, Oelze was an IT businessman and programmer, later active in climbing and the outdoor industry. Karsten Oelze had a son.
