Location and description
The natural monument is located about 800 meters southwest of Eutingen im Gäu in the Eutinger Valley . The valley floor is formed by dolomites from the Middle Muschelkalk . The hole well emerges as an overflow source (60 l / s) over water-retaining clays and marls . The source pot of the well was provided with a massive superstructure to protect it from external contamination. As a natural stone was Trochitenkalk the surrounding Upper Muschelkalk used.
