The cartel of the originating book leading specialty clubs for hunting and Nutzhunde (in short: the cartel ) was an umbrella organization of special clubs for hunting and Nutzhunde. It was founded on July 16, 1906 in Frankfurt am Main . Ernst von Otto and Albert de Gingins took the initiative for this . The following took part in the establishment: the Griffon Club (Club of Albert de Gingins) founded in 1893, the Borzoi Club (Club by Ernst von Otto), the Teckel Club (founded in 1888), the Setter Club founded in 1902, the 1889 founded Fox Terrier Club, the Kurzhaar Club founded in 1890, the Association for German Shepherds (founded 1899) and the Wirehaired Terrier Club founded in 1894 .

In 1908, the cartel changed its name to the cartel of the studbook-keeping special clubs . In 1911 a representative of the cartel is sent to the founding meeting of the FCI . In 1914 it was decided to change the name again. The cartel is then called the Kartell der Rassezuchtvereine and general associations , from 1925 the German Cartel for Dogs (DKH). The cartel has 25 breed clubs and 8 regional associations, which together have 87,049 members.

The cartel is one of the predecessor organizations of the Association for German Dogs .
