Kasimir Mann

Kasimir Mann (born October 7, 1910 in Lviv ; † August 9, 1975 in Warsaw ) was a graphic artist and painter.

Life

Kasimir Mann was born on October 7, 1910 in Lviv to Wilhelm and Emilia Mann. His brothers were Thaddeus and Roman Mann . His uncle was the opera singer Josef Mann . Kasimir Mann is the father of Wojciech Mann and Marta Mann. Kasimir Mann studied architecture from 1928 to 1930 at the Technical University in Lemberg, then from 1930 to 1935 at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna and received his diploma with distinction in 1935. His work extended in the areas of fresco and panel painting , mosaics, Wall painting, commercial and workshop graphics, as well as poster art. From 1936 to 1938 he was the head of the graphics studio - Polska Agencja Telegraficzna PAT.

Career

Wall painting :

Gubałówka 1937 in the youth hostel.

In 1939 he received the gold medal for the panel of the World's Fair in New York.

After the Second World War he dealt with graphics, was project manager and artistic director of the following exhibitions:

- Centrala Handlu Zagranicznego CIECH (Centrala Importowo- Eksportowa Chemikaliów),

- Centrala Handlu Zagranicznego Uniwersal,

- Przedsiębiorstwo Handlu Zagranicznego Cetebe,

- Centrala Handlu Zagranicznego PAGED in Vienna, Zagreb, Moscow, London, Stockholm, Paris, Budapest, Prague, Beijing, Izmir, Helsinki

Panneau projects :

1. as part of the Poznan International Fair in 1948, in the Shipbuilding Pavilion and in the SPOŁEM Pavilion

2. at the exhibition in Wroclaw

3. in the solar energy hall of the Moscow Technical Museum in 1970,

Warsaw 1965-70 in the rooms of the Technical Museum Maria Sklodowska-Curie, agriculture and radio technology departments.

Mosaics :

1962-69 in the Jan Mines, Radzionków, Michałowice

1969 Muszyna in the metalworker's house.

Sculpture of the railway stations: Warszawa - Gdańska, Terespol; Sandomierz.

Artist commissions

From 1960 he was a member of various artist commissions:

- Spółdzielnia Pracy Artystów Plastyków ART,

- 1973 Specjalistyczna Spółdzielnia Pracy Reklam Świetlnych and Neonowych LUMEN,

- Przedsiębiorstwo Wystaw and Targów Zagranicznych,

- Centrala Przemysłowo-Handlowa INCO, for which he also designed the advertising and packaging for the Celia cosmetics company.

From 1963 he was the artistic director of the design studio for design and packaging - Związek Spółdzielni Inwalidów.

In 1963 he was a participant in the Applied Art exhibition in Galeria Zachęta .
