Kassav ' is a Zouk band from Guadeloupe and Martinique .

Band history

Kassav 'was founded in 1979 by Pierre-Edouard Décimus in Guadeloupe . Together with Freddy Marshall , he took up carnival music and modernized it. As a leading band during the Zouk's period, they gave this style a Caribbean sound by integrating elements of reggae , salsa and Kompa .
