Casseler Field

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Casseler Acker (also Kasseler Acker ) is a historical field measure that was used in Northern Hesse . It was a little shorter than a Prussian morning .

A Cassel field comprised 150 14-shoe square rods , and a 14-shoe rod measured 14 Casseler feet, each 0.287 m. The 14-shoe rod was 4.06 meters long, and a Cassel field was 23.865 acres or 0.23865 hectares in size.

Thus 5 1/3 Casseler Acker corresponded to 5 Prussian acres of 25 ares each or 0.25 hectares.
