The Kastenseeoner See , or simply Kastensee , is a natural lake in the northwestern municipality of the Markt Glonn in the district of Ebersberg , on whose north bank the hamlet Kastenseeon is located. The Kastenseeoner See is a dead lake with no significant inflows or outflows. The shore area is divided into the natural silting moor on the west side and a public bathing beach on the east side.
The Kastenseeoner See is part of the landscape protection area Toteiskessellandschaft Kastenseeon (LSG-00376.01) and the FFH area Kastensee with adjacent Kesselmooren (8036-301). Entering the moor area is prohibited from April to September.
