Catalan Film Academy

The Catalan Film Academy ( Catalan : Acadèmia del Cinema Català (ACC) ) is a non-profit organization in Barcelona .

It is located near the port of Barcelona on Passeig de Colom 6. It is a member of the European Film Academy .

The first president was Joel Joan , who was replaced by Isona Passola in April 2013 .

On February 21, 2008, 46 filmmakers and creative people founded the Acadèmia del Cinema Català to promote, jointly develop and present Catalan film. The academy should also be a central point of contact for the next generation.

Film funding

The Academy has awarded the Premis Gaudí Film Prize annually since 2009 , which has replaced the Premis Barcelona de Cinema .
