Annette Elsa Katarina Ewerlöf (born December 28, 1959 in Karlskrona ) is a Swedish actress .

Life

Katarina Ewerlöf is the daughter of the lawyer Gunnar Ewerlöf and Dordy Gustavsson. She studied acting at the Teaterhögskolan in Stockholm and later worked at the Royal Dramatic Theater before establishing herself in film at the same time. For her role in the film comedy Tomten är far till alla barnen she was awarded the Swedish Guldbagge Film Prize for Best Actress in 2000 . In 2019 she was honored with the royal medal Litteris et Artibus .
