Katarzyna Mol-Wolf

Katarzyna "Kasia" Mol-Wolf (born February 21, 1974 in Breslau ) (born Knebloch, later Mol after her mother) is a German publisher and author , managing partner of the publishing house Inspiring Network GmbH & Co KG and a member of the board of the FAZ .

Career

At the age of seven, Kasia Mol-Wolf fled from her hometown of Jelenia Góra in Poland to Germany with her mother, who was a member of the Polish trade union Solidarność . She grew up in Munich, the first year in an asylum center, while her mother waited to be granted political asylum.

She completed her law studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel in 2000 with a doctorate.

She began her career in 2003 at the magazine publisher Gruner + Jahr , where she was responsible for various magazines ( marie claire , PM magazine , "emotion" ) and new developments for the publisher. In 2005 she became the publishing director.

In November 19, 2009, she took over the women's magazine »emotion« in a management buy-out from Gruner + Jahr and founded her own publishing house, Inspiring Network GmbH & Co KG in Hamburg. In addition to »emotion« , the publisher also publishes the magazines »emotion slow«, »emotion Working Women«, the philosophy magazine » Hohe Luft « and »Psychologie brings you further«. The media company also acts as a marketer and developer of other publications and as a content marketing agency.

Before handing over the post to Christine Ellinghaus in March 2019, she was editor-in-chief of the magazine "emotion". Today Kasia Mol-Wolf is Editorial Director and responsible for the further development of the brand.

Since 2014 she has also been managing director of Pocketstory GmbH, an online platform that sells print texts from German magazines, newspapers and books for computers and mobile devices.

Besides her work in the publishing Kasia molar Wolf has 2,015 FAZ - Supervisory Board member . Mol-Wolf is married and lives with her husband Jonas Wolf and their daughter (born 2012) in Hamburg.

Volunteering

Kasia Mol-Wolf is a member of the Club of European Women Entrepreneurs, a Rotary member and is a member of the jury for successful women in medium-sized businesses. Since 2018, Mol-Wolf has also been a member of the jury for the “Henkel Schwarzkopf Million Chances Award”, which honors charitable projects for girls and women.

With its own emotion.award since 2010, emotion has honored women in various categories who successfully go their own way and encourage other women to realize their dreams.

In 2014 Kasia Mol-Wolf received the “Victress” Inspiration Award, which honors women who are role models with their business ideas, visions and social commitment.

The marketing specialist horizont selected Kasia Mol-Wolf as media woman of the year in 2018.
