Katarzyna Wilk (born March 22, 1992 in Krakow ) is a Polish swimmer . The two-time Olympian specializes in the location freestyle .

Career highlights

The European Youth Swimming Championships in Belgrade in 2008 brought her gold as the final swimmer of the 4 × 100 meter relay together with Alicja Tchórz , Mirela Olczak and Paulina Zachoszcz, ahead of Greece and Russia.

At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and the 2012 Olympics in London, she swam in the Polish 4 × 200-meter medley relay and took 15th and 13th place respectively. She was 27 in the 100 m freestyle in London.

The 2010 European Swimming Championships in Budapest brought her a new Polish record of 54.95 seconds in the run-up to the 100 meters. In the final she was eighth with 55.15, one place and four hundredths of a second behind Daniela Schreiber (55.11); The winner was the Briton Francesca Halsall (53.58).

The 2011 European Short Course Championships in her own country in Szczecin brought her bronze as the final swimmer of the 4 × 50-meter medley relay , together with Aleksandra Urbańczyk , Ewa Ścieszko and Anna Dowgiert .

At the 2015 World Swimming Championships in Kazan, Russia, she was eliminated in the run-up to the 100 meter freestyle with a time of 55.20 s.
