Kate Emery Sanborn

Kate Emery Sanborn , later Jones, (* 1860 in the USA ; † unknown) was an American librarian. Sanborn worked from 1883 to 1891 as an assistant to Charles Cutter in the Boston Athenæum . She then moved to St. Louis as a cataloger at the Mercantile Library . There she was commissioned by Charles Cutter in 1892 to expand the first version of the Cutter table. Versions of their classification known as the Cutter-Sanborn notation are still in use today.
