Kate Forsyth (born June 3, 1966 in Sydney ) is an Australian writer and poet .

As Kate Forsyth, she wrote various fantasy books and published her poems under her maiden name, Kate Humphrey.

Life

Kate Forsyth was born in Sydney, Australia in 1966 and wrote her first stories when she was seven. After studying literature at Macquarie University , she worked as a journalist , editor and editor for various magazine publishers. In addition to these activities, she published several novels and collections of poetry. Forsyth was President of the Australian Poets Union and in 2008 she was the only author to be awarded the Aurealis Award five times in one year . Her books are published in over ten countries around the world, including Germany. Forsyth is married with three children and lives in Sydney.
