Kate Gillou-Fenwick

Catherine Marie Blanche "Kate" Gillou-Fenwick (born February 19, 1887 in Paris , † February 16, 1964 there ) was a French tennis player at the beginning of the 20th century.

She became known for her victories at the Championnat de France International de Tennis , the previous tournament of the French Open . In her day, only amateur players who were members of a French club were eligible. The tournament has only been open to players from other clubs since 1925, and to professionals since 1968.

She won the women's singles title in 1904, 1905, 1906 and 1908. In 1904 and 1908 she also won the mixed competition alongside Max Décugis .

Her siblings Antoinette Gillou and Pierre Gillou also played tennis.
