Katharina Hertwig

Katharina Hertwig (born November 23, 1878 in Leipzig , † 1953 in Zella-Mehlis ) was a German politician ( DNVP ).

Life

After attending secondary girls' school, Hertwig trained as a painter and graphic artist. After that she practiced private social activities in youth care. During the First World War , she acted as a consultant for the auxiliary service of the War Office in various armies on the Western Front . After the end of the war, she worked as a social worker at the Leipzig employment office. During the Weimar Republic she joined the German Nationals and since April 1925 has been the managing director of the DNVP regional association in Merseburg, based in Halle (Saale) . From 1928 to 1932 and again in 1933 she was a member of the Prussian state parliament .
