Katharina Lehmann (born May 18, 1984 in Moltschanowo ) is a Russian - German artist. She lives and works in Munich .

Life

Katharina Lehmann was born in Western Siberia , Russia. In 2001 she moved to Germany. From 2003 to 2006 she attended the design school for advertising and communication design in Munich (specializing in graphics and media).

The artist has been working in the Atelierhaus Engl in Munich since 2014.

Katharina Lehmann uses the thread-drip painting technique she has developed to create her sculptural works. She processes thousands of meters of acrylic-soaked thread, which she models into multi-layered objects. This creates three-dimensional works of art and installations that develop their own spatial dynamics and offer the recipient diverse perspectives for viewing and interpreting.
