The Catholic orphanage on Memminger Straße in Kempten is a listed building opposite the district hospital and next to the broom chapel belonging to the house . It was originally the home of the artist Franz Georg Hermann . Today there is a day care center and a kindergarten in the former orphanage.

History and description

The monastery painter Franz Georg Hermann had the house built for himself in 1730/40. In 1858 the building was converted into an orphanage . Inside there is stucco from 1730, which is similar to that from the Kempten residence . In 1957 a building was added to the orphanage. The hipped roof construction has 3 to 3 window axes .
