Katie Gearlds (born October 26, 1984 in Beech Grove , Indiana , United States ) is a professional basketball player. She currently plays for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association .
Career
college
Gearlds played for the Purdue University women's basketball team from 2004 to 2007 . In her four years at Purdue University, she got 14.8 points, 3.8 rebounds , 3.0 assists per game. Purduie University won 103 of 133 games with her as a team.
Women's National Basketball Association
On April 4, 2007 Katie was selected in the WNBA Draft 2007 by the Seattle Storm in the first round as seventh overall. In her rookie season , she scored 4.0 points and 1.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
