Katja Koch (pedagogue)

Katja Koch (* 1970 in Rudolstadt ) is a German educator. She teaches at the University of Rostock at the Chair of Education with a focus on intellectual development . She is the head of the Institute for Special Educational Development Support and Rehabilitation .

Life

After graduating from high school in Eberswalde in 1989, she studied pedagogy for people with learning disabilities, physically handicapped pedagogy and German studies at the University of Rostock until 1995. She then did her doctorate until 1997. After a two-year legal traineeship for special needs education, she was junior professor from 2005 to 2008. Then she became a full professor.
